This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the laboratory study of fundamental concepts of physics and chemistry. In this course, students will learn about lab safety and how to analyze and solve problems using critical thinking and the scientific method. This course will focus on topics such as atomic structure, motion and force, sound, and light, with an emphasis on technology, data collection and analysis. Students will complete a collection of over twenty physical science labs with critical thinking exercises and thirteen lab reports. One final exam is required. This is a one credit hour course that can be taken either after or with a physical sciences three hour lecture course.
